The Boston Terrier is a breed of dog originating in the United States. The breed is commonly referred to as the "American Gentleman." In the past, Bostons were primarily pit-fighting dogs, but with their friendly and happy temperament they became a companion and rat hunter. These days aside from being an excellent companion, the Boston Terrier also excels in all sorts of canine sports. Being such a versatile breed and with their outgoing personality and eagerness to meet new acquaintances, the Boston Terrier is a popular therapy dog.
Bostons are a gentle breed that typically has a strong, happy-go-lucky, and friendly personality with a merry sense of humour. Bostons are generally eager to please their owner and can be easily trained. The breed requires only a minimal amount of grooming. Both females and males are generally quiet and bark only when necessary making them excellent choices for apartment dwellers. They enjoy being around people, get along well with children, the elderly, other canines, if properly socialized.
Bostons are compactly built, well-proportioned dogs. They have square-looking heads with erect ears and a slightly arched necks. The breed's round eyes are set widely apart, are large in size, and protrude from the head. Their muzzles are short and generally wrinkle-free, with an even or a slightly undershot bite. Their chests are broad and their tails are short. Bostons should weigh no more than 25 pounds. Due to the Boston Terrier's markings resembling formal wear,the breed is commonly referred to as the "American Gentleman."
Max our male is a dilute brindle boston, from Owen Sound Ontario. He is a year and a half old and is CKC registered. Max weighs 25 pounds, has a nice square muzzle and great temperment. Max has also been retired recently and has been removed from our breeding program.
Sadie our female is a red boston, from Mill Bank Ontario. She is five and a half years old purebred red but is not registered. She weighs 22 pounds, has an under bite and a very nice temperment. Sadie has recently been retired and has been removed from our breeding program.
